Dodge Roll (ドッジロール, Dojji Rōru) is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts. It allows the user to execute a forward roll, during which they are invulnerable to enemy attacks. Leveling up increases the distance covered by the roll.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts, Dodge Roll is a unique ability used by Sora. It is executed by pressing and pushing the left analog stick in any direction. It costs 1 AP to equip.

In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Dodge Roll is an innate ability that is executed by double-tapping the control pad in a direction during battle. In Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, it is executed by pressing and pushing the left analog stick in any direction.

In Kingdom Hearts II, Dodge Roll is a Reaction Command.

In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Dodge Roll is a growth ability learned and upgraded by leveling up Limit Form. It is executed by pressing and a direction on the left analog stick. If both Dodge Roll and Quick Run are equipped, Dodge Roll is executed by tapping , while Quick Run is executed by pressing the button for slightly longer. In Sora's standard form, Dodge Roll costs 3 AP to equip.
