The KO Kabuto's Japanese name is derived from "horn" (角, Tsuno?). It is based on a rhino beetle. "KO" is an abbreviation of "knock out".

The KO Kabuto Recipe can be purchased from the Moogle Shop for 200 munny once Prankter's Paradise has been entered. The KO Kabuto can be created through seven different recipes.

- The fifth recipe is a rank B recipe that has a 60% chance of success.
