Well... to me I guess it doesn't matter. I love languages (and judging from the amount of Babel I have on my userpage !). It might be sort of an uphill task at the beginning, but as I once told User:Unbirth, learning any language for that matter, is easy, but mastering it is hard.

Heck, I wonder how I managed to pronounce every syllable in Annika Ljungberg's Song of Mana from Square's Legend of Mana, when I'm not entirely familiar with Swedish phonetics.} TNÉ _{En avant Bravo !}

Just because we're kids doesn't mean we can't run a business— {{{time}}} just a tip: if you learn any one of these languages, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, German, Icelandic, Faroese, it is very easy to learn the basics of the others... guess that's why I am so good at Danish... :P (I can also read in Swedish and Norwegian, since it is similar to Danish/Icelandic). and, do you know, Faroese is just like a language of Icelandic slang... :P

Yep, as quite a lot of English words originate from Scandinavian languages, right ?

Ya know, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that "Wednesday", "Thursday" and "Friday" originated from Swedish.

In Icelandic it's Skíði (the i is silent, so it's like ski-th) it's like in Icelandic, Sæng means duvet, but in Danish, Seng means bed!

Hm.... Not bad. ^_^ Guess I can be my very own petite linguiste (though there aren't any prospects for linguists over here...). I'm beginning to like this a lot !

EDIT : Remember the userbox ? The word kunattu (mind the spelling and the accents) - does it mean "command" (of a language), or knowledge, or something like that ? I mean, what's the exact word ? TNÉ _{En avant Bravo !}

(this user has a basic understanding of the Icelandic language)

BebopKate - This one is Zazzles...because he's Zazzy! TALK - Here's your cat...and here's your $20...{{{time}}} German has so many connections to English. They're both in the same language branch, Germanic, so that makes sense I suppose; I didn't realize Icelandic was in there, but it makes sense too now that I think about it. That's part of the reason I took German in high school...I'm very lazy. ^_^ The other reason is its the language of my ancestors. I never could quite catch on to Romance languages. I've always had a rough time with Spanish, for example, even though it was taught throughout school when was growing up. I think it's all the genders; that's always what I had a hard time with in German.

Xiggie : Exactement ! BebopKate : Here's a thought about genders for Romance languages - they're usually indicated by the ends of the words. Like in French, almost every other word that has an extra E at the end is feminine. I know I had a bit of a hard time picking that up, but that's all behind me. Heck, had it not been for the Norman conquest of England in the 11th century our English just wouldn't be like this, with all its connections to Romance languages... Sims Wiki Admin

A morris from the Sims wiki is wondering about the textboxes we have here, the Final Fantasy wiki and the Mario wiki. Why don't you say something about these talkboxes with her. Oh, have you ever heard of Bella Goth? And do you know someone who can draw good pictures (mostly the one who drew the textbox pictures such as Sora and Kairi)?

The one who drew the textbox pictures was Tetsuya Nomura himself. There's a limit on fan images, and we wouldn't want them to get out of hand before our admins resolve to deletion en masse. Anyhow, I'll go meet A morris on the Sims Wiki and see if I can help. EDIT : I've already placed a notice on A morris' page, as well as links to Template:TNE and Template:TalkTextTest2 - the basic talk bubble. Once she gets TalkTextTest2 onto the Sims Wiki, then textboxes will be free for public use. Also linked back to this talk page (as that's where 97% of the activity is). Tu n'es pas le seul. I am hoping to get Juliette Capp, but there or lots of Sims, such as sweet girl Angela Pleasant, gothic girl Lilith Pleasant (Angela's sister), murderer's niece Ophelia Nigmos, Juliette's sister Hermia Capp and bland girl Miranda Capp (Juliette's cousin). Those girls are all teenagers, but there are also thise children Sims; Lucy Burb, Jill Smith, Destremona Capp, Bottom Summerdream and Beatrice Monty. On the Sims 2, you get to play as diferant Sims who have story tracks, but we'll continue on the Sims wiki. Amalia

Not fantastically exciting as most people manage to do the latter two way before they're legal. =\

To be honest, with all the excessive politicking that has been going on of late, we've all become disillusioned and... I guess most Malaysians, if not all, are trying to stay as far away from political parties as possible. In my case, it's worse : I hate reading local newspapers. Our local paper is really quite small as our town is also small. The head journalist, though, tries to be "witty" and like a current affairs reporter in that he portrays one party as evil and one as completely righteous. Which is really quite annoying.

Photoshop eats up a lot of my RAM, unfortunately. Why can't it be nice like my word processor?

I've been using image editors for about a year now, and Photoshop for four months, but I'm still learning. Once you manage to grasp the basics, it's not that difficult. By the looks of things, you'd be a brilliant graphics artist.

That said, Australian universities are meant to be easier than high school, so who knows? Lordy I love music. I really REALLY wish I'd learnt how to play. XD I was also introduced to the piano at an early age, but since we had no piano at home, it was hard to practise without invading my grandmother's home. Drums seem to be quite popular as of late, and I think that so long as you're passionate it's fine. Unlike some people, who play and assault music with a butcher's knife and destroy the carcass. The absolute value of the difference between frequencies is the number of beats per second. I am a nerd. :D

The admin of the Sims Wiki is curently thinking of banning him (He had an argument with a gothic user known as **The Falling One** over an unknown reason). Do you think he is a troll?

There's a varied period for bans. We had a previous user, who went on removing people's comments on talk pages. He was banned for a week, but he didn't learn, and is now banned for a year. And then, you have the most severe of all bans, permaban. I'm not sure if they're gonna use it on him. But anyhow, he approached me on my Sims talk page and he was kinda rude, I'd say. The climax of it was at midnight. Wonderful vigil I had ! ^_^ Though I'm not sure if I'll be doing anything extraordinary tomorrow later today. I could easily celebrate a "legality party" by hitting the clubs (the legal age for clubbing in Malaysia is 18) but... I'd rather be at home.
